HOLY GROUNDS HIKE

Expedition 2008- the BLACK FOREST Trail.  August 15-17, 2008.  Deadline: August 1, 2008.    The Holy Grounds Hikes return once again to the Williamsport District with three days on the beautiful Black Forest Trail. This backpacking trip is open to anyone, but some experience is strongly recommended. Like most trails in Pennsylvania, the trail will cover several steep elevation changes and covers rough rocky terrain. It is important that hikers are in the appropriate physical condition for the terrain and weather conditions.  All hikers are responsible for gathering their own gear and supplies, though suggested gear and supply lists will be made available. A full itinerary will be provided once hikers have registered as well.

Registration:
There is no cost for this trip. However, each registered hiker is asked to raise funds for the campaign using the provided Holy Grounds Hike sponsor sheet.  You will receive the sponsor sheet once you have registered for the Hike.  There is also no limit to the number of hikers. If registration is high, hikers will be divided into smaller hiking parties. Please note that in order to meet the requirements of our conference Safe Sanctuaries policies, hikers under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied and supervised by a family member. Hikers are responsible for all of their own equipment and supplies. Please register for this hike through the Central PA Conference Camping Office.
